Witches’ Predictions in “Macbeth”
[ send me this paper ]
This 5 page report discusses
the relationship that takes place between Macbeth and the witches
demonstrates the ways in which human beings are almost always
determined to meddle in the business of the divine or the
immortal. As a result, there is never a truly positive outcome
for any of those involved. When the witches conjure up their own
guides and phantoms, the prophecies regarding Macbeth begin. When
the prophecies begin, Macbeth crosses boundaries -- moral,
spiritual, magical -- that were never meant to be crossed by an
ordinary human. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
